I really have a one track mind at the moment with trying to include veggies into treats and sweets that we usually cram with fruit or sweeteners. I am doing this because I like the challenge, because it's not the norm (and I love flipping normal upside down) and let's face it veggies are very special creatures.
So here is a so so easy recipe for some raw little treaties that you can whip up to have on hand when you need a little snackie snackie!
What you need
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 ripe kiwi mashed
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/3 cup crushed nuts of choice
- 2 tbs vanilla protein powder (or the choice is yours!)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 3tbsp coconut oil melted
- 1/4 cup of tahini
- Pinch of salt
What to do with it
- Mix all of your dry ingredients together
- Add in your carrot and kiwi
- Add your remaining ingredients and combine
- Roll into balls and toss in sesame seeds or coconut to coat
- Place in the freezer for 20 minutes and eat!
